Randolph’s Leap, by the River Findhorn is named after Thomas Randolph, later Earl of Moray, who was pursuing  a rival clansman. Legend has it that the clansman escaped by leaping across the river to safety…

Today, the area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and has a series of woodland walks along the riverside. I particularly enjoy the woodland and trees along the riverbanks and when the light is right and the leaves on the trees are on the turn in autumn, it’s a lovely place to visit.
